The Golden Globe Race 2026 is once again proud to support SITraN, the University of Sheffield’s Institute for Translational Neuroscience, as its charity of choice for this year’s race. SITraN is a world leading centre for research into neurodegenerative disorders.

World-Leading Research at SITraN

Based at the University of Sheffield, SITraN brings world-leading scientists, clinicians and researchers together under one roof. This collaborative approach deepens our understanding of conditions including Motor Neuron Disease, Parkinson’s, dementia, stroke and multiple sclerosis.

Discoveries made in SITraN laboratories translate directly into practical new treatments, therapies and improved patient care. Scaling this work requires continuous funding, and your kindness helps bring experimental medicine out of the lab and straight to the people who need it.
